The MD500 series of helicopters belongs to the category of multi-purpose civilian and military light helicopters that can carry up to four people. Starting with the Hughes 500, developed in 1976, Boeing now produces three different models. The series includes the MD500E, MD520N and MD530F. The scale replica of this well-known helicopter has nothing to envy the original and stands out visually with its numerous small details, such as rivets, simulated door frames, LED lighting and the five-blade rotor head made of aluminum. The oscillating plate and main rotor shaft are also aluminum. The paddle holders and joints are made of high strength plastic and allow for non-play movement of all components. The fuselage and chassis of the helicopter are made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, which significantly increases the durability of the material. The main motor and tail motor are brushless motors that generate enough power to perform powerful and dynamic flight maneuvers. The integrated gyroscopic electronics stabilizes the model in all positions and conveys a confident flying feeling that also excites beginners. The hovering behavior is reminiscent of that of a coaxial helicopter. In normal flight, the system functions like a speed-controlled helicopter or pitch. However, automatic stabilization is activated again immediately when the remote control levers are returned to the center position. Thus, there are no unpleasant surprises during the flight. The model also features our popular auto start and landing system with the push of a button. Different flight phases (beginner, advanced, professional) can be selected on the transmitter, resulting in different oscillations of the servo on the cyclic plate and thus changes the sensitivity of the model. The helicopter also has an attitude maintenance system (automatic height maintenance). The transmission system works on the 2.4 GHz band, which is safe and does not present interference, and the model is suitable for outdoor due to its power and size, which allow it to withstand relatively little wind.
