The Sunbrella Silica Fabric, part of the Sunbrella Marine Grade Collection from Glen Raven, is a top choice in the boating industry for its excellent color range, outstanding resistance to fading, and longevity. It achieves a linen-like texture through the use of two distinct yarn types: slub (varying thickness) and marl (two colors of yarn twisted together), with the textured side designed to face outwards. However, the fabric's versatility allows either side to be used as per preference.
This fabric is woven from soft, breathable, solution-dyed acrylic yarns, ensuring it is UV, water, and mildew resistant, and maintains its size and shape with minimal shrinking or stretching. Recognized as the finest fabric for outdoor use, Sunbrella Marine Grade fabrics are also notably easy to sew.
